Mr. Charlie Cheng

Charlie Cheng joined Kilopass as CEO in October 2008 with overall responsibility for leading the company and its business growth worldwide. His career spans more than 10 years of experience in the semiconductor IP industry and an additional 15 years in the global technology marketplace. Prior to Kilopass, he served as vice president of marketing and international business at Faraday Technology, where he grew the Taiwan-centric company into an international presence. Previously, he was co-founder and CEO of Lexra Inc., an embedded RISC CPU IP company. Charlie began his technology career at General Electric and IBM, and pioneered in the semiconductor IP business as VP of Marketing at Aspec Technology. He also served in various technical and management positions at Iomega, Zycad and Viewlogic. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering, with an emphasis on computer architecture and algorithms, from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY. He also completed the Executive Management Training Program on Leadership at Carnegie Mellon University, in addition to various other executive training programs.

Mr. John Malloy

John Malloy, Partner, is a founder of BlueRun Ventures, Nokia Venture Partners and Nokia Growth Partners and is based in Menlo Park. BlueRun Ventures is a global, early stage venture fund operating from US, China, Finland, India, Israel, and Korea. The firm is focused on investing in start-ups in the mobile, IT and consumer segments. John has successfully invested in a broad spectrum of technologies and services. John currently serves on the Board of Directors of FusionOne, Riya, Slide and Varolii. Previous board experience includes PayPal (EBAY), Bitfone (HPQ), eVoice (AOL) and MongoMusic (MSFT). Prior to starting the firm, John spent more than 15 years in management and executive roles at Nokia, MCI, and a communications services start-up. John holds a J.D. from George Mason School of Law and a B.A. from Boston College.

Mr. Aaron Mankovski

Mr. Aaron Mankovski’s tenure in venture capital started in 1996. He co-founded Eucalyptus Ventures, and has served as Managing Director since that time. In 1999, Eucalyptus merged with Polaris Venture Capital to create Pitango Venture Capital where Mr. Mankovski is a Managing General Partner. Mr. Mankovski has 16 years of experience in Executive Management (CEO, Sales and Marketing) in the high-technology sector in Israel and abroad. Prior to founding Eucalyptus, he served as Corporate Vice President of Orbotech Ltd.(NASDAQ: ORBK), responsible for worldwide operations, sales and customer support with offices on four different continents. Prior to assuming that position, Mr. Mankovski served as President and CEO of Orbotech Inc., where he also guided the merger of Orbot and Optrotech that led to the establishment of Orbotech. He previously was a sales executive at IBM. He also served as a pilot in the Israeli Air Force. Mr. Mankovski holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Statistics from Tel Aviv University. Mr. Mankovski served on the Board of Director of Chromatis Networks (sold to Lucent for $4.75 billion). He currently serves on the Board of Directors of CTI2, Proficiency, Civcom, PacketLight Networks, Negevtech Semiconductors, Optimal Test , Kilopass Technology and Precede Technologies.

Dr. Arati Prabhakar

Arati joined U.S. Venture Partners in 2001, after 15 years of working with world-class engineers and scientists across many fields to brew new technologies. At USVP, her focus is fabless semiconductor and semiconductor manufacturing opportunities. Arati was a program manager and then director of the Microelectronics Technology Office at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency from 1986 to 1993. At DARPA, she supported R&D in company and university labs in semiconductor manufacturing, imaging, optoelectronics, and nanoelectronics. In 1993, President Clinton appointed Arati director of the National Institute of Standards and Technology, where she led the 3,000-person staff until 1997. Arati then joined Raychem as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. She was subsequently Vice President and then President of Interval Research Corporation. Arati began her career as a Congressional fellow at the Office of Technology Assessment. She serves on advisory committees for Stanford, Berkeley, and Caltech. Arati has been honored as a distinguished alumna of Texas Tech and of Caltech, and she has been awarded an honorary doctorate from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. She is a Fellow of the IEEE. Arati received her B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech University. She received an M.S. in Electrical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Applied Physics from the California Institute of Technology.

Mr. Joe Zaelit

Joe has over 35 years of financial experience in public and private technology companies. He joined iGlobe Partners as a Venture Partner in 2003 and is located in Silicon Valley. Currently he is on the board of GRIC (NASDAQ: GRIC) and InterVideo (NASDAQ: IVII). Joe is a well-respected financial manager with a strong track record of success. Most recently Joe was the Executive Vice President / Chief Financial Officer of Celestry Design Technologies, an iGlobe portfolio company that was acquired by Cadence Design System inc. in January of 2003. Prior to Celestry, Joe was the Chief Financial Officer of GRIC Communications (NASDAQ:GRIC), where he helped lead the company through its successful IPO process. Earlier, Joe served as the Senior Vice President / Chief Financial Officer of VeriFone for five years. He was a key member of the management team that led to VeriFone’s acquisition by Hewlett-Packard for US$1.3 billion in 1997. Before that, he spent twenty years in a number of senior financial positions at Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ). Joe began his career as an auditor with Arthur Andersen & Co. He earned his Bachelor Degree in accounting and MBA from the University of Utah, and is a certified public accountant in the State of California.
